Why it's the 7 Minute City

This post is totally non-Remy related. So if you're waiting to hear about his latest "funny little thing", you may want to wait for another installment.

When we moved to Sarnia, I knew there would be lots of differences, after-all, I grew up here; I know how different this place is from Toronto. Well, one of the biggest differences in the lack of stop signs. The little sub division we live in has numerous streets-off-of-streets. For instance, our street can be accessed from 5 or 6 different entrances and the one closest to us, does not have a stop sign, where you’d think you’d need one. Nor does the top of the connector street, this means that people have to use caution, they have to use their driving skills, they have to be observant and watch for on-coming traffic! What a concept! I love it. I love the fact that this city has fewer stop signs. I love the fact that this city has 4 way stops instead of traffic lights! I love that I can go to Zehr’s and buy 50 bucks in groceries and be home in 30 minutes and not have to sit at one stop light, not even one.

You weren’t kidding Mr. Robertson; this is the 7 minute city.
