Any parent will tell you that the first couple of years are spent checking off milestones. Their first smile, sitting up, rolling over, crawling, walking and talking. Now that Remy's speech issues have basically disappeared, there isn't much for us to worry about with regards to his development. He's right on schedule. But, there was one little phrase that had just NOT been uttered. Finally, I got an I love you. Wednesday night, April 4, 2007, Remy told me he loved me. I will never, ever, get tired of hearing his sweet voice utter those three words.
Manners at last! Along with sorry, Remy is saying please and thank you, on a much more regular basis. For the longest time he'd just bat his eyelashes at you in a flirtatious manner rather than say please. Drove me bonkers because I knew, he knew how to say it and when to say it but of course, toddlers get where they need to go on their schedule. I just had to be patient.
No new pictures today but I'll have some to post next week. There will be Easter in the Park and a family birthday/Easter dinner over the weekend. Lots of picture opportunities. Remy and I are going to paint eggs today.
